This October four PhD students from our lab attended the Biomedical Engineers Society's annual conference. This year's conference took place in a whole new world (A.K.A. The Marriot World Center in Orlando, FL). Steven Parker, Julianna Bordas, Cindy Chen, and Hillel B. Price all presented new research at the conference. Steven gave a riviting oral presentation in the Optical Imaging session, and the rest of the crew presented posters throughout the week. When we weren't busy presenting, observing presentations, advising undergraduate BMEs, or networking the crew visited Disney Springs and attended the BMES Bash at Universal Studios. More information about our presentations are below.

Steven Parker - Quantitative Phase Microscopy and Förster Resonance Energy Transfer for Analyzing Cell Ion Dynamics Julianna Bordas - Development of Optical Phantoms to Validate and Evaluate Biomedical Imaging Systems Cindy Chen - Accurate Classification of Cancer Cells Using Quantitative Phase Imaging Hillel B. Price - Spatial-Temporal Disorder Strength Measured by Quantitative Phase Imaging to Report Cell Stiffness (supplement figures)
